A great sail to Ensenada de Matanchén
We spent one night at Isle Isabel. We were fortunate to be able to stay there one night, as it requires calm conditions to stay there.
Here Dan is pulling up the anchor.
Dan pulled up the anchor at Isle Isabela and we were off for beautiful day of sailing. After the previous 24 hour sail, this day sail of about 40 nm seemed like a breeze. The weather was good, the winds favorable a nice 10-15 knots, and the swells had lessened considerably. It was a delightful sailing day and why we came to Mexico to sail.
These were the morning clouds and sky we left in. Pretty amazing!
Mexican Coast - heading to Chacala
We got to fly the Code One Gennaker! It is an amazing sail!
We set up the sunshade and it was wonderful! We can use it with the Code One sail but not when the main sail is up.
Here I am at the helm. I am still learning and getting better, but I am not the natural Dan is. He can helm with his toes!
We are sailing into Ensenada de Matanchén. We will only stay here one night and then move on.
There are a few other boats in the bay.
Another evening sunset from our anchorage. The cruising guide talked about a lot of bugs here, but we did not experience them fortunately.
