Malo is safely tied up on a mooring ball.
We put the dinghy in and used it to row around the harbor in, as well as get back and forth to shore. Here Dan is inflating the dinghy on the deck.
There were some cool looking shallow caves along the shore. The water was clear.
The morning views were very nice off the stern of our boat.
There were many trails on the island. The terrain is rather steep. I choose to hike one trail that was 2.5 miles long. It was very steep, gave incredible views, but I needed to careful not to slip. I really would've liked to have my hiking poles, but they did not make the trip. Here are some photos of that hike. This shows the two harbors which is why they call it Twin Harbor.
The resort type village has a restaurant, bar, showers, laundry etc, rentals of kayaks, bikes etc and even offer safari trips to see the buffalo that are on the Island (apparently brought over for a film in the early 1900's and just left here).
Dan and I took a walk on another day, when it was sunny and what a difference the light made for the photos.
This is another cove called July 4th Cove.
I enjoyed rowing and I took the SUP board out and even went for a swim a few times.

Malo moored in the sunset.
Resting Birds
Tomorrow we will head out to San Diego for a 90 mile sail which will take us at least 24 hours, as the winds will be light.
Great job Bev on the pictures and story
